Learn to connect your breath with movement and move toward balance – physically, mentally, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually. On a physical level, we strive to find balance between strength and flexibility. The word “yoga” means ~ union, to yoke, to bring together. At Enlighten Yoga, we emphasize the importance of the breath – learning to find a balance between inhales and exhales and to connect breath with movement. Using our breath and movement, we learn to control our thoughts – to slow down. We can use our yoga practice to find harmony and balance in dynamic forces. There is a cycle that exists all around us – the cycle of birth, growth, maintenance and destruction/ruin. A yoga practice teaches us that opportunity lies in everything, including that which seems difficult. It is through ruin/destruction that we find transformation. What is change really, if not the end of something as it transforms to become something else? Our yoga teachers are well versed in guiding clients through a variety of yoga teacher training classes with an emphasis on cues for proper alignment and hands on assists. Whether it is Universal Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Power/Hot Yoga, Yoga for Athletes or Yoga Basics, we believe that movement with breath can lead to transformation.
